Schools, Religious Ed, and Other

Our Sisters continue to minister at Alvernia Manor Retirement Home and Our Lady of the Angles Retreat Center on our hill in Lemont, but other Sisters minister in various ways on and off the hill.

As School Sisters of St. Francis of Christ the King, we are still visible in the field of education.

Sr. Marjorie is on the staff of SS. Peter and Paul School in Naperville, Illinois.

Sr. Susan Catherine teaches students at St. Walter Parish in Chicago who need special services.

Sr. Mary Francis is Director of Religious Education at St. Ambrose-St. Anne Parish in Crest Hill, Illinois as well as Director of Religious Education, Grades K-5 at Immaculate Conception Parish in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Sr. Mary Terese serves as Catholic campus minister at Joliet Junior College.

Sr. Francine is involved in jail ministry in Chicago.

Sr. Maryann works with math student teachers through DePaul University. She also is on staff of the Franciscan Pilgrimage Program.

Besides running the retreat center, Sr. Barbara also does spiritual direction.

Sr. Therese Ann coordinates and animates the Associate Program.

These and other Sisters minister to the community in various positions and are involved in various volunteer activities and social justice groups.

Our Province is small, but we continue to serve the Church, the people who depend on our help and prayer, and each other.
