St. Joseph Convent Infirmary and Marian Hall

Sr. DavidTo describe St. Joseph Convent only as an infirmary would be to miss all that it is to our Province. Senior Sisters who need care, some not so much and some very much, live in St. Joseph Convent.  They are involved in life and in living it to the fullest as much as they are able.Sr. Jude Marie and Sr. Regina Marie

Like all the other Sisters in the Province, they have a  ministry, and their main ministry is prayer.  It is of course community and private prayer in chapel, but it is also prayer lived throughout the day.

They are dedicated to spending time interceding for all those listed on the weekly Province Prayer line. They give comfort to those requesting prayer who know the Sisters will be faithful to their promise of prayer.  Requests for prayer can be sent to the e-mail given in the contact address.

The Sisters at St. Joseph Convent Infirmary pray for all the Sisters in the Province that each will have the health, strength and passion to continue her ministry. They pray for vocations to priesthood  and religious life especially to our Province.  They pray for peace; they pray for life; they pray for the U.S government. They pray for people throughout the world who suffer from natural disasters and violence.

Sr. TomasineBesides prayer, their presence is especially important to the rest of the community. These Sisters are fonts of experience and wisdom whose autumn years inspire others through their prayer and their activities. Visiting them is often a moment of grace for others.  In addition, to see them playing games at recreation time, to see them sitting outside enjoying the sun, to see them interested in a television program or a book,  to see them talking to each other or to a visitor, we know that each one is doing what God wants her to do, living life to the fullest and being a reflection of God’s graciousness, mercy, and love.
